Yes — Big Hit contains volumising film-forming agents that coat each strand and increase its diameter during cleansing. It adds a measurable amount of body that a standard shampoo doesn't deliver. The volumising effect is small per wash but compounds with consistent use.
Will Big Hit Shampoo work on medium-density hair, or only on very fine hair?
Yes — Big Hit is designed for fine and medium hair. Very fine hair gets the most lift benefit, but medium hair with a tendency to fall flat also responds well.
My hair is fine and colour-treated. Is Big Hit colour-safe?
Yes — Big Hit is sulphate-free and colour-safe. Fine colour-treated hair benefits doubly: the gentle formula won't strip colour, and the volumising actives counteract the flatness that chemical processing often causes.
Should I use a conditioner with Big Hit Shampoo, or will it reduce the volume?
Yes — use Big Hit Conditioner specifically. It's formulated to condition fine hair without the heavier agents that collapse volume. Applied mid-lengths to ends only and rinsed thoroughly, the volume built in the shampoo step is preserved.
I currently use Brooklyn Bombshell spray for volume. Should I also switch to Big Hit Shampoo?
Yes — building volume from the cleanse step makes Brooklyn Bombshell more effective. Volume systems work best when the foundation is clean and primed — the shampoo prepares the hair for what the blowout spray will build on.
