Why we like it

The Moda Team Review

It is the restrained one. Where Peach Pink is a deliberate warm pop, this reads as a tint rather than a colour - the kind of thing people notice in daylight without being able to name it. That makes it the right pick for anyone who wants rose blonde and does not want to walk into work looking like they have dyed their hair pink.

What’s inside — and why it’s there

The ingredients worth knowing.

  • The same four cationic dyes as Peach Pink, balanced with more blue relative to yellow - which pulls the result away from apricot and into a cooler, pearlier pink. That is a useful illustration of how this range worksnot fourteen different technologies but a small palette of basic dyes in different ratios, which is also why shades from this line blend ...

How to use

Use it the way we would.

  1. Shampoo and towel-dry until damp.
  2. Wearing gloves, comb evenly from mid-lengths through ends, then lightly through roots.
  3. Leave 3-10 minutes, or dilute with an unpigmented masque for a sheerer result at full time.
  4. Rinse until the water runs clear, then follow with conditioner.

Moda stylist tipIf you want the rose softer than three minutes gives, dilute rather than rush. Maria Nila's own guidance is to mix Colour Refresh with an unpigmented masque or conditioner to reduce intensity, and that is far more controllable than timing a one-minute application across a whole head. Rushing gives patchy uptake, because the first sections you touched had more contact than the last.

Questions? We get them.

Good to know.

The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.

Ask Moda
Is the pink obvious, or genuinely subtle?

No, it is not obvious. Maria Nila describes it as a delicate rosy glow, and on most blondes it reads as a warm pearl cast in daylight rather than as pink hair. If you want people to clearly see pink, Peach Pink is the shade that delivers that.

Will it look the same on a level 7 as on a level 10?

No. On level 10 platinum the rose is clearly visible; on a level 7 it is a faint warm cast at best. A sheer pigment needs a pale canvas to register, which is why Maria Nila caps the range at level 7 and does not recommend it below that.

Could a pink pigment stain my bleached ends permanently?

No, not from this shade. The pigment load is low and Maria Nila rates it at four to ten washes. Genuine staining risk in this range sits with the concentrated shades like Pink Pop, which is why those carry an explicit dilution warning for light hair and this one does not.

I have tape extensions. Is this safe to use over them?

No, not without checking with your stylist first. Extension hair is processed differently and is often far more porous than your own, so it can take pigment much more strongly and unevenly. Ask your stylist, and keep the masque away from the bonds or tape bands themselves.

It is already subtle. How would I make it even softer?

Yes, that is possible - dilute rather than shorten. Mix it with an unpigmented masque or conditioner as Maria Nila advises, then leave it the full three to five minutes. A diluted mix at full time lands evenly, where a rushed one-minute application leaves whichever section you started on noticeably stronger.
