The Moda Team Review

Maria Nila is a new, young Scandinavian brand whose story resonates with Moda's own — light, fun fragrances, high-quality vegan formulas for everyone. A mask fine hair can actually use is rare — most are too heavy. How to use

Use it the way we would.

  1. Apply to newly washed hair from mid-lengths to ends.
  2. Leave for a few minutes, then rinse.
  3. Use weekly in place of the conditioner. For extra volume, use with the full Pure Volume series. All can be used daily.

Moda stylist tipUse weekly in place of conditioner. Apply mid-lengths to ends (keep off the roots to preserve lift), leave a few minutes, rinse. It's built for fine hair so it won't weigh you down like a richer mask — but rinse thoroughly for the cleanest, fullest result.

Good to know.

The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.

Ask Moda
Won't a hair mask make my fine hair flat?

No — and that's exactly what makes the Pure Volume Masque special. Most hair masks are too rich for fine hair and weigh it down, but this one is formulated specifically for fine and thin hair. It uses Provitamin B5 to lock moisture inside the strand (adding fullness) and wheat protein to build body, rather than heavy coating agents. So you get a genuine treatment — deeper nourishment and strength — while keeping your volume. Applying it mid-lengths to ends only, off the roots, keeps hair light.

How often should I use it?

Yes — use it about once a week in place of your conditioner for a nourishing, strengthening boost. On other wash days, use the Pure Volume Conditioner. It can be used more often if your hair needs extra care, since it's formulated to be light. Regular use helps keep fine hair stronger and healthier over time.

What does Provitamin B5 do?

Yes — Provitamin B5 (Panthenol) is the hero of the Pure Volume range. It locks moisture deep in the hair shaft, making each strand swell and look fuller, so it adds volume from within rather than through surface coating. It also moisturises, so hair feels healthy. In the Masque it's at treatment strength for a deeper effect, alongside wheat protein and moringa oil.

Is it safe for colour-treated hair?

Yes — it's colour-safe, with a Colour Guard Complex that protects colour from fading caused by washing, styling, and UV. Fine, colour-treated hair gets both the weekly volumising treatment and colour protection.

Is Maria Nila vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes — 100% vegan and cruelty-free, certified by PETA, Leaping Bunny, and The Vegan Society. Maria Nila is a Swedish brand and a Certified B Corporation, developing and manufacturing in Sweden in CO2-compensated packaging.
