Yes — Kevin Murphy built the formula specifically around the brushable-out requirement. The moulding resins release cleanly when brushed rather than crumbling and flaking. This was a session stylist requirement — the spray needs to hold all day and then brush away completely when the job is done.
Does Session Spray work in humidity?
Yes — humidity resistance is a core design requirement. The moulding resins make the hair less susceptible to environmental humidity. Kevin Murphy confirmed it is tried and tested in every environment from Australian coastal humidity to high-rise studio conditions.
Is Session Spray too strong for everyday use, or is Session Spray Flex better for daily wear?
No — it depends on what you need. Session Spray is the stronger, firmer option for styles that need to be locked in place. Session Spray Flex is the lighter, more flexible version for a lived-in everyday hold. If you run your fingers through your hair through the day, Session Spray Flex. If you need the style to hold without touching it, Session Spray.
Can Session Spray be used on fine hair without weighing it down?
Yes — the moulding resins create a firm hold without adding weight or coating the hair. Spray from 20–25 cm for an even mist that does not overload any section. The hold is described as firm and weightless — it keeps the style in place without pressing it down.
Can I use Session Spray and Session Spray Flex together?
Yes — Session Spray Flex on the lengths for flexible all-over hold, then Session Spray on the areas needing maximum lock-in (such as the hairline, a fringe or an updo anchor section). The two work together to give a graduated hold from flexible through the body to firm at the key points.
