Ask ModaDo I need to use Normcore Conditioner with Normcore Shampoo, or can I mix?
No — you can mix and match within the Amika range. Normcore Conditioner works with any Amika shampoo. If your shampoo targets a concern (repair, toning, volume) and you want your conditioner to match, use the conditioner from that same line. Normcore Conditioner is the go-to when you just need a reliable everyday softener.
Is Normcore Conditioner heavy enough for very dry hair?
No — for significantly dry hair, Hydro Rush Conditioner is the better match. It has a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid specifically for dry hair needing intensive daily moisture. Normcore is lightweight and appropriate for normal to moderately dry hair.
Can I use Normcore Conditioner on my scalp?
No — apply from mid-lengths to ends only. Even a lightweight conditioner applied at the scalp deposits enough to flatten roots and can contribute to buildup over time. The scalp produces its own conditioning through sebum; the ends are where conditioner is needed.
How long should I leave Normcore Conditioner on?
Yes — 1–3 minutes is sufficient for daily conditioning. For a slightly deeper softening effect, leaving it on for 5 minutes is fine. This is a rinse-out daily conditioner, not a mask — the weekly Soulfood Mask is the deeper treatment step.
