How to use

Moda stylist tipApply to fully saturated hair and take 60 seconds at the scalp before rinsing through the lengths. The Roucou Oil needs contact time to begin laying the cuticle flat. A second lather on particularly product-heavy or oily hair makes a visible difference to how the conditioner performs.

Yes — OI Shampoo is sulfate-free and colour-safe. It is the shampoo we use at the Moda backbar on every client, including those who have just had colour or chemical services. The gentle cleansing agents remove scalp buildup without stripping colour pigments.
What is the difference between the 250ml and 1000ml OI Shampoo?
Same formula, different sizes. The 1000ml is the professional backbar format at a significantly better cost per wash. For clients washing three or more times a week, the litre pays for itself within a few months.
Can I use OI Shampoo every day?
OI Shampoo is suitable for daily use on all hair types including fine hair. The sulfate-free formula cleanses without over-stripping. Focus application at the roots and let the rinse carry it through the lengths if your scalp tends toward oiliness.
Does OI Shampoo build up on the hair over time?
No silicones in OI Shampoo means no coating-style buildup. Regular use builds cumulative Roucou Oil benefit. In hard water areas, a monthly chelating wash with Davines MINU Shampoo will clear mineral deposits without disrupting the OI routine.
Why does my hair feel shinier after an OI wash at the salon than at home?
Water temperature, massage technique, and the full OI system used in sequence all contribute at the backbar. At home, leaving the shampoo on for a full minute before rinsing, following with OI Conditioner, and finishing with OI Oil or Milk before blowdrying gets you closest to the salon result.
