The EVO Easy Does It Set β the Mane Tamer smoothing routine for frizz-prone hair, with a weekly protein treatment to strengthen the hair that frizz is a symptom of. Full-size Mane Tamer Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner plus the Mane Attention Protein Treatment.
This set includes:
-
EVO Mane Tamer Smoothing Shampoo (300 ml) β a gentle cleanse with smoothing polymers that begin sealing the cuticle at the wash step, so the hair leaves the shower less reactive to humidity.
-
EVO Mane Tamer Smoothing Conditioner (300 ml) β the cuticle-sealing conditioner that extends the smoothing through mid-lengths and ends without weighing them down.
-
EVO Mane Attention Protein Treatment (150 ml) β the weekly strengthening treatment with hydrolysed quinoa and shea butter that rebuilds elasticity in hair that has been coloured, heated, or over-processed.
The Moda Team Review
Frizz has two causes, and most smoothing sets only treat one of them. The first is a lifted cuticle grabbing moisture from the air β that is what Mane Tamer addresses, and it addresses it well. The second is weakened, porous hair that cannot hold its own shape: colour-treated, heat-styled, a bit brittle. Smoothing products sit on that hair like a coat on a wire hanger. It looks smooth until the first bit of humidity, then it puffs anyway.
That is why EVO paired the Mane Tamer wash duo with Mane Attention rather than with another smoothing step. The shampoo and conditioner seal the cuticle at every wash; the protein treatment, used once a week, rebuilds the protein structure inside the fibre so the hair is strong enough to stay smooth on its own. Smoothing without strength fades by the afternoon. Strength without smoothing leaves the cuticle open. Together, the result lasts.
The wash duo is the full 300 ml size, and the 150 ml treatment is enough for eight to ten weekly applications β the window in which most clients feel the elasticity come back.
Why Moda Carries This
EVO is the family-owned Australian brand we trust for no-fluff results β vegan, cruelty-free, and built to do one job well. Mane Tamer is the smoothing line we recommend for wavy and thick hair that wants a polished finish without a keratin service, and Mane Attention is the treatment we reach for when that same client's hair is also showing the wear of regular colour.
Moda Pro Tip
Do the protein treatment on shampooed, towel-blotted hair before the conditioner, not after. Protein needs to reach the cortex, and a layer of smoothing conditioner is a barrier. Treatment, rinse, then a quick pass of Mane Tamer Conditioner on the mid-lengths to close the cuticle over it. Once a week is enough β protein is cumulative, and more than weekly can leave hair feeling stiff.
Not the Right Fit If...
Not for fine, healthy hair that only needs a light smoothing β Mane Attention is a real protein treatment and fine, undamaged hair can go stiff on it. The Mane Tamer Duo without the treatment is the better pick. Not for tight curls that need moisture more than smoothing; the Ring It In curl set is the right routine there.
