Can I use this through my lengths or is it strictly a root product?
Yes, through the lengths. Maria Nila formulates it for both scalp and lengths, where the silica and starch add texture and grip rather than absorbing oil. Take whatever remains on your fingers after the roots and work it down the mid-lengths.
My scalp reacts to spray dry shampoos. Will this be any different?
Yes, it is a different formula entirely. There is no propellant and no denatured alcohol here, which are the two components in most aerosol dry shampoos that a reactive scalp tends to object to. The full list is seven ingredients, five of them starches and minerals.
Does it leave hair feeling gritty or tangled once the oil is absorbed?
No. Cetrimonium chloride is included precisely for that reason. It is a cationic conditioning agent that deposits on the fibre surface and restores slip, so the hair does not go squeaky and static-prone the way it does with pure starch powders.
