Ask ModaWhen do I apply RICA Volumizing Hair Spray — before or after drying?
Before. Apply to towel-pressed damp hair before blow-drying. It creates the structure for volume during drying — it is not a finishing product and does not add lift to already-dried hair.
Can I use RICA Volumizing Hair Spray on thick or curly hair?
It is formulated for fine and flat hair needing body support. On thick, coarse or curly hair the lightweight formula will not provide enough support. The Smooth Styling Cream or Curl Shaping Cream are more appropriate prep products for those textures.
Can I layer RICA Volumizing Hair Spray with RICA Plumping Hair Mousse?
Yes — apply Volumizing Hair Spray through the lengths first, then Plumping Hair Mousse at the roots for maximum all-over volume before blow-drying.
Does RICA Volumizing Hair Spray offer any heat protection?
The Rica Line Complex includes HeatProSP which provides some thermal support during blow-drying. It is not a dedicated heat protectant, but it does support the hair through the drying process when used as directed.
Will RICA Volumizing Hair Spray make my hair stiff?
No — it is a lightweight lotion spray with a soft, touchable finish. If hair feels stiff, too much was applied. On fine hair, start with a light pass and build only if more volume is needed.
