How to use

Ask ModaDo I need both Nº.4P and Nº.5P, or will just one do the job?
No — Nº.4P alone provides meaningful toning. Nº.5P adds toning at the conditioning step for more consistent neutralisation from root to end, particularly at the ends where brassiness tends to accumulate. For clients struggling to maintain tone, using both is noticeably more effective.
My ends are more brassy than my roots. Does Nº.5P target that?
Yes — Nº.5P is specifically effective at the ends. The conditioner is applied mid-lengths to ends, which is exactly where the micro-fine violet toning agents deliver. For clients where the ends are the problem area, Nº.5P is the more targeted tool.
Can I use Nº.5P every wash, or will it overtone my hair?
No — using Nº.5P on every single wash can eventually shift the hair too ashy, particularly on very light or porous blonde. Use Nº.5P on Nº.4P wash days and switch to standard Nº.5 on other days. Alternating maintains tone without over-depositing pigment.
Does Nº.5P work on grey or silver hair?
Yes — Nº.5P is effective on grey and silver hair that has yellowed or taken on a warm cast. The same violet toning mechanism that neutralises brassiness in blonde hair neutralises yellowing in grey and silver.
I have fine blonde hair. Will Nº.5P weigh my hair down?
No — apply to mid-lengths and ends only, keep away from the root, and rinse thoroughly. Applied correctly, Nº.5P shouldn't flatten fine hair. For very fine blonde hair where volume is the priority, alternating Nº.5P with Nº.5 FINE is the practical approach.
