The active ingredients penetrate further the longer they have contact time with the hair fibre.
How often should I use RICA Opuntia Oil Intensive Treatment Mask?
Once a week as a treatment replacement for the conditioner is the standard routine. If hair is very dry, damaged or chemically processed, use it twice a week. For maintenance on healthy hair, every two weeks is enough to keep the benefits consistent.
Does RICA Opuntia Oil Intensive Treatment Mask replace my regular conditioner?
Yes — on treatment days, use the mask instead of the conditioner, not on top of it. For daily washing, use the Opuntia Oil Conditioner. Reserve the mask for one to two times per week depending on how much repair and nourishment your hair needs.
Can I use RICA Opuntia Oil Intensive Treatment Mask on colour-treated hair?
Yes — the formula is colour-safe and is particularly beneficial for colour-treated hair that is also dry, fragile or frizz-prone. The nourishing and anti-breakage benefits are especially useful for hair that has been repeatedly processed.
Should I apply heat while the RICA Opuntia Oil Intensive Treatment Mask is on?
Yes — a warm towel wrap or sitting under a heated cap during the five to ten minute window will meaningfully improve penetration and results. The heat opens the cuticle and allows the Opuntia oil and vegetable proteins to reach the cortex rather than just depositing between the cuticle scales at the surface.
