No. The formula is lightweight and does not leave residue or cause buildup with daily use. The direct dye pigments in leave-in products fade naturally between applications, so consistent use maintains tone rather than accumulating it indefinitely.

The Mist offers some heat protection but is not a dedicated heat protectant. If you regularly use high heat tools — flat irons above 200°C, aggressive blow-drying — we recommend using a specific heat protection product as well.
