Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
This is the HOG product we recommend most often to fine-haired blonde clients who find conditioner too heavy. The bond repair happens in the rinse-out window, the luminosity result is immediate, and the 6-week colour vibrancy is something we see validated on clients who use it consistently. It fits into the existing routine with no extra time.

The fine-haired balayage client whose hair looks flat and weighed down after every wash, even with a lightweight conditioner. She wants bond repair but can't tolerate anything that adds texture or weight. The Bonding Glow gives her the bond repair and luminosity in the rinse-out window — she notices the difference in shine on the first wash. Davines is a family-owned Italian haircare brand founded in Parma in 1983. We are a Platinum Davines salon and train with them every year — every Davines clinical claim we share comes from brand-validated data we have seen and reviewed as part of that ongoing partnership.

How to use
Use it the way we would.

Moda stylist tipComb through to the roots after applying — don't just apply to the ends and rinse. The Biacidic Bond Complex needs to reach the full hair shaft. Use a wide-tooth comb from mid-lengths up toward the roots, then rinse. That distribution step is what delivers the full luminosity and breakage results.

Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaIs the Instant Bonding Glow a leave-in or rinse-out?
Rinse-out. Apply after shampooing, comb through, then rinse completely. The bond repair and luminosity happen during the short contact window. Do not leave it in — it's not formulated as a leave-in and leaving it in will not improve the result.
Can the Instant Bonding Glow replace conditioner for fine hair?
Yes — for fine or non-dry hair, Davines designed the Bonding Glow specifically as a standalone post-shampoo step. It delivers bond repair and luminosity without the conditioning weight. For dry or coarser hair, use both: Bonding Glow first, then Rich Conditioner mid-lengths and ends before rinsing.
Where does the +37% breakage resistance claim come from?
It's a validated clinical result from Davines' in-house testing on the Biacidic Bond Complex — the same patented bond-repair system in the Intense Treatment and Rich Conditioner. The Bonding Glow delivers it in a shorter contact window; the Intense Treatment delivers it at higher concentration with longer processing time.
How does the Bonding Glow maintain colour vibrancy up to 6 weeks?
The Jagua Blue Extract (plant-based tonal balancing) and the bond repair from the Biacidic Bond Complex work together — tonal balancing prevents warmth from creeping in, while bond repair keeps the hair cuticle sealed so colour molecules don't escape as quickly between appointments. The 6-week figure is from consumer self-assessment testing.
Can I use the Bonding Glow if I've had an in-salon bond treatment like Olaplex or K18?
Yes — the HOG Bonding Glow is fully compatible with professional in-salon bond treatments. It's a maintenance product for home use between appointments, not a competing system. It extends the bond repair and luminosity between salon visits rather than replacing in-salon chemistry.
