Description

A weekly protein and repair treatment for fine and colour-treated hair — a deeper conditioning step than Angel Rinse that rebuilds strength, reduces breakage and restores softness for hair that needs more than daily maintenance.

The Moda Team Review

Angel Masque is the weekly step in the ANGEL routine. Where Angel Rinse is the daily lightweight conditioner that adds body without weight, the Masque goes deeper — higher protein concentration, longer contact time, more intensive repair for the fine hair that has been weakened by colour processing, heat styling, or daily manipulation. For fine colour clients whose ends feel rough, who are noticing more breakage when combing, or whose hair has lost elasticity over time, this is the treatment that addresses that underneath the daily routine.

The protein system in the Masque is specifically suited to fine hair: it rebuilds structure and reduces breakage without leaving a heavy, coated feel. The antioxidant complex — Rosehip Oil, Green Tea, Vitamins C and E — continues the colour protection work of the Wash and Rinse steps, so the weekly treatment does not interrupt the colour-care routine. Used once or twice a week in place of Angel Rinse, it visibly changes what fine colour hair feels like over the course of a month.

Why Moda Carries This

As a White Haven Kevin Murphy salon, the ANGEL line is our volume system for fine colour-treated clients, and the Masque is the piece of that system most clients add once the Wash and Rinse have made them believers. Kevin Murphy built it on the same protein and antioxidant logic as the rest of the ANGEL line — it intensifies the daily work rather than replacing it, which is why it belongs in the routine as a weekly step rather than an occasional emergency treatment.

Key Active Ingredients

  • Hydrolyzed Oat Protein: At higher concentration than the Rinse — deeper protein deposition into the cortex for structural repair on fine, weakened hair.
  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein: Reinforces hair structure and reduces breakage with weekly treatment-level application.
  • Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter: Continues the lightweight nourishment of the ANGEL line without the heaviness that would flatten fine hair even at masque concentration.
  • Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil + Green Tea Extract + Vitamin C + Vitamin E: The full antioxidant complex from the ANGEL line, working to protect colour integrity through the weekly treatment step.

Moda Pro Tip

Apply to mid-lengths and ends on squeezed-free hair — not soaking wet — and leave for a full five minutes rather than two. The protein at masque concentration needs more contact time than the daily rinse to penetrate the cortex properly. A warm towel wrap during those five minutes opens the cuticle and lets the proteins work at a deeper level. Rinse with cool water to seal.

Not the Right Fit If...

Angel Masque is a repair and strengthening treatment for the ANGEL (volume) line — it is not a toning or brightening treatment. For blonde or grey hair needing colour maintenance between appointments, the BLONDE ANGEL line is the right system. Angel Masque is for fine hair that needs structural repair alongside its volume routine.

How To Use

  1. After Angel Wash, squeeze excess water from mid-lengths and ends.
  2. Apply from mid-lengths to ends — keep off root.
  3. Comb through gently with a wide-tooth comb.
  4. Leave for 5 minutes — wrap in a warm towel for deeper penetration.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.
  6. Use once or twice weekly in place of Angel Rinse.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Product FAQ

No — on masque days, Angel Masque replaces Angel Rinse. Use one or the other on any given wash, not both. The Rinse is the daily step: lightweight, 1 to 2 minutes, every wash. The Masque is the weekly treatment: higher protein concentration, 5 minutes with a warm towel, once or twice a week. Most clients do Rinse daily and swap to Masque on days when they have five minutes.
No, at once or twice a week. Protein overload on fine hair comes from daily heavy protein treatments. Angel Masque used weekly alongside Angel Rinse daily is within the range fine hair handles well. If you notice the hair feels stiffer or less elastic after a few weeks, reduce to once weekly and let us know at your next appointment.
Yes. Angel Masque and bond-building treatments address different aspects of hair structure and do not interfere with each other. The protein in the Masque works on the cuticle and cortex surface; bond builders work at the disulphide bond level. If you are unsure about your specific service, ask your Moda stylist.
Different products with different jobs. Angel Masque is a protein repair and strengthening treatment for fine hair in the ANGEL (volume) line. BLONDE ANGEL Treatment is a toning conditioner in the BLONDE ANGEL line specifically for blonde, highlighted and grey hair. They are not interchangeable — Angel Masque does not tone, and BLONDE ANGEL does not do deep protein repair.
Yes, measurably. Heat opens the cuticle and allows the protein to penetrate the cortex rather than sitting on the surface. Five minutes under a warm towel delivers repair that lasts through the week. Without it, most of the protein work stays at the surface and rinses away.
