Ask ModaMy hair goes flat when I use conditioner. Will No. 201 weigh it down?
No. No. 201 is specifically formulated to be toning and moisturising rather than heavy — the Rice Oil and Pro-Vitamin B5 deliver softness without coating the hair shaft. For fine hair, apply only to the mid-lengths and ends, keep contact time brief (30–60 seconds), and rinse thoroughly.
I already use No. 202 Leave-In. Do I also need No. 201 or are they doing the same job?
They do different jobs. No. 201 is a rinse-out conditioner that provides hydration and softness during the wash. No. 202 is a leave-in that adds UV protection, control, and pre-styling conditioning. Most clients use both: No. 201 in the shower, then No. 202 on towel-dried hair before styling.
Is No. 201 safe to use every day, or should it be every other wash?
Yes, daily use is appropriate. No. 201 is formulated as an everyday conditioner — the Botanical Complex of 13 plant extracts and the Rice Oil are conditioning actives well-suited to regular use without buildup. The 250ml bottle is designed for daily use and the 1000ml is available for committed daily users.
I have a beard as well as hair. Can I use No. 201 as a beard conditioner in the shower too?
Yes, though No. 201 is formulated for scalp and hair specifically. For a dedicated beard conditioner, DEPOT® No. 202 Complete Leave-In is the more targeted option post-wash as it's officially recommended for beard use as well as hair.
How does No. 201 compare to my current conditioner? What should I expect to feel different?
The most noticeable differences are the masculine, botanical scent from Eucalyptol, Rosemary, and Lemon essential oil and the anti-static result, which makes hair significantly more manageable without the heavy feel of a silicone-loaded conditioner. Expect softer, more controlled hair with no coating sensation.
