Yes — Maria Nila has three waxes at different hold levels. The Sculpting Wax is 3/5 (medium, flexible, natural), the Fixating Wax is 4/5 (firm, matte, for control on short unruly hair), and the Extreme Wax is 5/5 (maximum hold, for spikes and strongly defined short styles). The Sculpting Wax is the most flexible and natural of the three, and the only one with moisturising shea butter and olive oil, so choose it when you want reworkable texture and a soft finish rather than locked-in hold.
Will it make my hair stiff or crunchy?
No — the Sculpting Wax gives a flexible, reworkable hold with a soft, non-greasy finish, not a stiff cast. It's a fibre cream rather than a hard wax, and the shea butter and olive oil keep the hair soft and moisturised. You can restyle it through the day. If you want a firmer, more locked-in hold, the Fixating or Extreme waxes are stronger, but the Sculpting Wax is designed for natural, touchable texture.
Can I get a wet look with it?
Yes — apply it to damp hair for a sleeker, wet-look finish, or to dry hair for a more matte, textured look. The Sculpting Wax is versatile that way. For the wet look, work it evenly through towel-dried hair and style; for texture, apply to fully dry hair and piece it out. Either way, warm it between your palms first for even application.
What hair length is it best for?
It's ideal for short to medium hairstyles. On short hair it adds texture, separation, and hold; on medium hair it defines and controls without weighing it down. It's a favourite for men's styling and shorter cuts. For very long hair, a wax can feel heavy — a spray or cream may suit better — but for short to medium styles the Sculpting Wax is a great everyday choice.
