It is designed for coarse, frizz-prone or rebellious hair — the kind that poofs, frizzes or goes in its own direction regardless of what you use. If your hair is fine or flat, the Thickening Cream or Plumping Mousse are more appropriate as they build volume rather than adding smoothing weight.
Do I apply RICA Smooth Styling Cream before or after blow-drying?
Before for blow-dry frizz control, or after for finishing definition on a dry style. For best frizz results, apply to towel-pressed damp hair before blow-drying and work through sections to ensure full coverage.
Will RICA Smooth Styling Cream weigh my hair down?
It is designed for coarse and thick hair that can carry a smoothing cream without going flat. On fine or limp hair it may feel heavy — if that is your hair type, this is not the right product. For coarse and thick hair, the weight is actually what disciplines the texture.
Does RICA Smooth Styling Cream protect against humidity?
Yes — the Rica Line Complex includes HeatProSP and humidity-resistance actives that help the smoothing and frizz control last through the day. For very high humidity conditions, finishing with Perfect Finishing Spray on top will add an additional layer of protection.
Can I use RICA Smooth Styling Cream on curly hair?
For coarse, frizzy curly hair that needs frizz discipline and smoothing, yes. For curly hair where definition and curl shaping are the main goal, the Curl Shaping Cream is a better fit. Smooth Styling Cream disciplines; Curl Shaping Cream defines. They serve different purposes on curly hair.
