No — regular protein shampoos coat the hair surface. Soft-state protein — Pea Protein encapsulated in Bromelain and Papain enzymes — stays flexible, allowing it to penetrate the cortex and integrate into actual damage sites in the fibre. Surface protein washes off over time. Protein that builds into the fibre structure does not.
My hair is damaged from bleach. Will Repair Me Wash cause protein overload?
No, at the level delivered in a shampoo. Protein overload typically comes from leave-in or styling protein products applied daily and not removed. Repair Me Wash rinses off and the enzyme-guided integration is self-limiting — it fills damage sites rather than overcoating the surface. If you notice stiffness, reduce contact time slightly.
How quickly will I see a difference with Repair Me Wash?
Most clients notice less tangling in the shower within the first week. Breakage reduction and restored elasticity — the stretch-without-snap — typically becomes visible at 6 to 8 weeks of consistent daily use. The full repair builds cumulatively. Inconsistent use significantly slows the result.
Can I use Repair Me Wash with a bond builder like Olaplex?
Yes — they work on different aspects of hair structure and are not in conflict. Bond builders target disulphide bond repair in the cortex. Repair Me Wash soft-state proteins address broader structural fibre repair. Used together they cover different dimensions of the damage. Ask your Moda stylist which combination makes sense for your specific damage pattern.
Which size should I start with?
