Leave it in for the full 1 to 2 minutes. Thick, coarse hair has a tightly packed cuticle layer and the Biomimetic Keratin Protein and butters need contact time to penetrate. Rinsing immediately after application means you are mostly rinsing off surface coating rather than getting the deposit that matters. Apply, clip the hair up, finish the rest of your shower, then rinse.
