Ask ModaWhat is the difference between Light Beige and Platinum Blonde Fabuloso?
Platinum Blonde deposits a distinctly cool, violet-adjacent pigment that neutralises yellow and golden tones. Light Beige deposits a softer, more neutral pigment that maintains tone without a strong cool direction. If your hair reads icy or platinum and you want to stay that way, Platinum Blonde. If your hair reads sandy, natural or beige and you want it to look maintained rather than obviously toned, Light Beige.
I have grey hair and purple shampoo makes it look too lavender. Would Light Beige be better?
Yes — this is one of the most common reasons we recommend Light Beige. It softens the grey and adds a creamy, polished tone without the stark lavender result that heavily pigmented purple products can give. Start at three to four minutes and build from there.
Will I actually see a difference from Light Beige, or is it too subtle to notice?
It is subtle by design, but it is not invisible. On first use you may notice hair looking cleaner, more polished and more freshly coloured. With consistent use — every one to two washes — the cumulative effect is clearly visible when compared to unmanaged colour. For clients whose hair goes flat or dull between appointments, the difference is meaningful.
Can I mix Light Beige with another Fabuloso shade to adjust the tone?
Yes. Mixing Fabuloso shades is something we do in the salon and it works just as well at home. Light Beige and Platinum Blonde mixed 50/50 gives a result cooler than Light Beige alone but warmer than Platinum Blonde alone. Mix in a small bowl before applying and process as usual.
Should I start with the 30 ml or go straight to the 220 ml?
Start with the 30 ml if you have not used Fabuloso before. It gives you two to three uses to confirm the shade is right for your hair before committing to the 220 ml. Because Light Beige is subtler than most Fabuloso shades, it is particularly forgiving for first-time users.
