Ask ModaHow is this different from a regular conditioner?
A regular conditioner adds softness to the surface of the hair. Ritual Salvation Conditioner adds softness and delivers hydrolysed proteins that temporarily rebuild the internal structure of the hair shaft. If your hair is just a bit dry, a regular conditioner is enough. If it is breaking, tangling excessively or feeling fundamentally weaker than it used to, you need the protein support this conditioner provides.
Do I need to use it with the Ritual Salvation Shampoo, or can I use my existing shampoo?
You will get repair benefit from the conditioner regardless of which shampoo you use. But pairing it with the Ritual Salvation Shampoo gives protein support across both steps, which builds the effect cumulatively. If you can only do one product, the conditioner gives you more contact time and therefore more protein delivery than the shampoo alone.
How long should I leave it on for the best result?
Three to five minutes is the standard recommendation. The proteins and conditioning agents need time to penetrate and coat the cuticle, so leaving for 60 seconds and rinsing immediately significantly reduces the effectiveness. Clip your hair up while it is processing if that makes it easier to leave it on longer.
Will using this every wash make my hair stiff from too much protein?
The formula is balanced to avoid protein overload with regular use. The emollient base counteracts the stiffness that pure protein products can cause, giving a soft, manageable result. If you ever feel your hair is becoming stiff or straw-like, swap one weekly wash to The Therapist Conditioner (moisture focus) and alternate.
Which size should I buy?
The 30 ml gives you two to three uses to confirm the formula works for your hair. The 300 ml is the everyday size for regular use. The 1000 ml is for clients who wash frequently and want the best value per wash — or those who plan to leave it on longer and use more product per application.
