Shampoing Ritual Salvation

A hydrating shampoo adds moisture and softness to the surface of the hair. Ritual Salvation delivers hydrolysed proteins that penetrate the cortex and temporarily rebuild the internal structure of damaged hair. If your hair is dry but structurally sound, a hydrating shampoo is fine. If it is breaking, snapping or feeling fundamentally weaker than it should, you need protein — which is what Ritual Salvation provides.

For most damaged hair, daily or every-other-wash use is appropriate. Protein overload — where the hair becomes stiff and brittle from too much protein — typically happens with very concentrated protein treatments used too frequently, not with a protein-containing shampoo. Used alongside the Ritual Salvation Conditioner, the formula is balanced to avoid that outcome.

The 30 ml gives you two to three uses to confirm the formula works for your hair. The 300 ml is the everyday size for regular use. The 1000 ml is for clients who wash frequently and want the best value per wash — or for those who want to do occasional double cleanses without running low.

Yes — mushy, stretchy hair when wet is a classic sign of over-bleached, protein-deficient hair. It means the internal bonds have broken down and the hair has lost its elasticity. Ritual Salvation Shampoo and Conditioner is the right starting point, and we would also recommend adding Mane Attention Protein Treatment once a week for more intensive support.

It is a lower-lather formula by design — the gentle surfactants that make it safe for damaged hair produce less foam than a standard shampoo. That does not mean it is not cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and your hair will feel clean. If you are used to high-lather shampoos it takes one or two washes to adjust, but most clients prefer the gentler feel once they notice how much better their hair responds to it.
