Kevin Murphy Heated Defense is best for hair that gets heat styled but does not want a wet, sticky or crunchy protectant. We would recommend it when you use hot tools but hate the feel of heavy heat sprays, and you want weightless heat protection with a soft, clean finish.
It depends on how and where you use it. Start small, keep richer products away from the root if your hair is fine, and focus Heated Defense where your hair actually needs support.
Apply Heated Defense to damp hair before blow-drying. Start at the areas that need the most support — usually the root, crown or mid-lengths — then blow-dry with tension so the product has something to build on.
Apply Heated Defense before hot tools. Pair with Blow Dry care or Ever Smooth when smoothness is the goal.
