For medium to thick dry hair, no — the formula is rich but the Jojoba Esters and Evening Primrose Oil are lightweight carriers that absorb without leaving a heavy feel. For very fine dry hair, apply from mid-lengths to ends only and keep it off the root. Fine hair that is also dry should look at Angel Rinse for the volume-safe option or Hydrate Me Masque for occasional deeper treatment.
Daily vs weekly frequency and depth of treatment. The Rinse conditions in one to two minutes and is suitable for every wash. The Masque is a weekly intensive: five to ten minutes, a deeper moisture dose, and formulated for more severe dryness or damaged hair needing restoration beyond what regular conditioning provides. Use both in rotation: Rinse daily, Masque once or twice a week in its place.
Yes. Sulphate-free, paraben-free and colour-safe. The Vitamin C and E antioxidant complex also helps protect against colour fade. Dry, colour-treated hair is the most common client for the HYDRATE regimen and this conditioner is built with that in mind.
One to two minutes is the standard. For hair that is very dry, heat-damaged or has significant split ends, two to three minutes gives noticeably more softness and better split end disguising. Squeeze excess water out before applying and comb through with a wide-tooth comb for the most even distribution.
Jojoba Esters are a standout ingredient for dry hair because they improve the hair's resilience to tangling — not just making it feel slippery after conditioning, but actually reducing the mechanical damage that happens when dry hair tangles and breaks. With regular use, detangling gets easier and you lose less hair to breakage during brushing. They also help prevent split end formation from daily friction.
