Both. Apply to damp hair over the Curl Shaping Cream before drying for integrated shine and definition. Or apply a small amount to dry curls after drying as a finishing step to refresh shine and smooth any frizz that appeared during drying.
Can RICA Curl Enhancing Serum replace the Curl Shaping Cream?
Not as a primary wash-day styler. The serum is a lighter finishing product — it adds shine and definition but does not provide the hold and frizz control that the Curl Shaping Cream delivers as the base layer. Use the cream as the foundation and the serum on top.
Will RICA Curl Enhancing Serum make my curls feel greasy?
Not if used in the right amount. A small amount through the ends is enough. The serum is designed to be absorbed rather than to sit on the hair surface, so the key is using less than you think you need — start with a pea-sized amount and add only if needed.
Can I use RICA Curl Enhancing Serum on wavy hair, or only on curly hair?
Both — it works across wavy and curly patterns. On fine wavy hair, use very sparingly through the ends only. The serum enhances whatever wave or curl pattern is there; it does not create texture on straight hair.
Is RICA Curl Enhancing Serum the same as a hair oil?
No — a serum and an oil behave differently. The Curl Enhancing Serum is a water-based formula with styling hold and definition properties. A hair oil is a hydration and shine product with no styling hold. The serum is part of the styling routine; an oil is a treatment or finishing product.
