A professional-grade dry body brush crafted from FSC-certified bamboo and natural sisal bristles — made in partnership with Fairware, a certified B Corporation, for the client who wants their body care tools to reflect the same values as their haircare.
The Moda Team Review
Dry brushing is one of the most consistently underused steps in a body care routine. Done correctly — firm, upward strokes before showering — it stimulates circulation, breaks down the surface layer of dead skin cells that make skin look dull and retain cellulite-prone texture, and activates the lymphatic drainage system that helps the body clear toxins. The result after consistent use is noticeably smoother, more resilient skin that holds body products better and looks measurably healthier.
The Davines Exfoliating Dry Brush is built for this. The FSC-certified bamboo handle is firm and balanced in the hand; the sisal bristles are course enough to stimulate without being abrasive. As a Davines product, it carries the brand's characteristic attention to sustainable sourcing — made with Fairware, a certified B Corporation that specialises in responsibly produced promotional and accessory products. For clients already using the Davines SU body care line or any other body routine, this is the prep tool that makes those products perform better.
Why Moda Carries This
We chose Davines in part because of their sustainable farming and sourcing practices — that commitment runs through everything they make, including tools. A dry brush made from FSC-certified bamboo and natural sisal, manufactured by a B Corp partner, is the kind of accessory that belongs on a shelf next to Davines products. It reflects the same values that led us to become a fully committed Davines salon in the first place.
Moda Pro Tip
Use on completely dry skin before showering — dry brushing on damp skin reduces the stimulation and friction that drives the circulation and exfoliation benefit. Work in long, firm strokes from the ankles toward the heart: calves upward, thighs upward, stomach in circular motions toward the navel. Shower afterward and apply a body moisturiser or the Davines SU Aftersun Cream to finish.
Not the Right Fit If...
Not for use on broken skin, active skin conditions, sunburn, or very sensitive reactive skin. The sisal bristles are firm by design — if any area feels too intense, reduce pressure or avoid that area entirely. Start with lighter pressure and shorter sessions until the skin adapts to regular dry brushing.
How To Use
- Use on completely dry skin before showering.
- Begin at the ankles and work upward toward the heart in long, firm strokes.
- Use circular motions on the stomach and chest.
- Avoid the face, broken skin, or any irritated areas.
- Shower after to rinse away exfoliated skin cells.
- Follow with a body moisturiser for best results.
- After use, tap out the brush and allow to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
