Routine step
Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
This is what we use at the backbar on clients whose hair is dry but structurally sound. The cleanse step is where most dry-hair routines fail — a stripping shampoo undoes everything the conditioner is trying to do. The Therapist cleanses without stripping so the conditioning step actually lands.

The client who says she conditions every wash and still feels like her hair is dry and rough. We ask what shampoo she is using — it is a standard drugstore formula with high-stripping surfactants. We switch her to The Therapist Shampoo and she comes back saying her conditioner is finally working the way she expected it to. EVO is an Australian professional haircare brand built on high-concentration formulas, clean ingredients and a personality that does not take itself too seriously. Moda carries EVO because the line delivers real results without unnecessary filler. The Therapist is EVO's core hydration line — used at the backbar for clients whose primary hair concern is moisture.

How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Wet hair. Apply at scalp and work through lengths. Leave 60 seconds. Rinse. Follow with The Therapist Hydrating Conditioner.
Moda stylist tipApply to wet hair and give it 60 seconds before rinsing. That extra contact time lets the humectants begin attracting moisture while the surfactants work gently. Small adjustment, meaningful result.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaHow is this different from a regular shampoo?
Most shampoos prioritise cleaning over hydration and use stronger surfactants that strip natural oils along with dirt. The Therapist uses a gentler blend and adds humectants that attract and retain moisture during the cleanse. It cleans effectively while actively working against the drying effect that standard shampoos have on moisture-deficient hair.
Will this make my hair feel heavy or weighed down?
No. The Therapist is designed to hydrate without heaviness. If you have fine hair, keep the shampoo focused at the scalp and work it through the lengths with the rinse water. The conditioner step is where most hydration lands and where fine hair needs to be more careful with quantity.
My hair is dry from colouring. Should I use this or Ritual Salvation?
Depends on whether the dryness is a moisture issue or a structural damage issue. If your hair feels dry and dull but does not break or feel rubbery when wet, The Therapist is right. If you have noticeable breakage or a rubbery wet texture, Ritual Salvation addresses the structural concern. When in doubt, ask your stylist.
Can I use this every wash?
Yes — every wash if your hair is consistently dry. The hydration benefits build cumulatively with consistent use. If your scalp needs a stronger cleanse occasionally, Normal Persons Shampoo can be used once a week as a scalp reset while The Therapist covers the rest.
Which size should I start with?
The 30 ml gives two to three uses to confirm it works for your hair. The 300 ml is the everyday size. The 1000 ml is for frequent washers or anyone who wants the best value per wash.
