No — it is specifically calibrated for fine hair to condition without collapsing volume. Apply only from mid-lengths to ends (never the root), leave for a maximum of 1–2 minutes, and rinse with cool water. Keeping it away from the root is the critical technique step.
Can I skip conditioner on fine hair and still get good results?

Is Pure Volume Conditioner silicone-free?
The Pure Volume Conditioner contains a small amount of silicone for slip and detangling — if you need fully silicone-free, the Hydrate Sheer Conditioner is the option. For most fine-haired clients the silicone level in Pure Volume Conditioner is not enough to cause buildup or flatness when applied correctly.
What should I pair with Pure Volume Conditioner for maximum volume?
After rinsing, use the On The Rise Root-Lifting Mousse or Instant Levitation Mist on damp hair before blow-drying. These styling products build root lift that holds through the day alongside the foundation the shampoo and conditioner create.
