How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Shampoo with Earth Moon Shampoo and towel-dry.
- Wear gloves. Apply with a brush, distributing evenly and combing through to the ends.
- Leave on 10-20 minutes depending on desired intensity.
- Emulsify, then rinse thoroughly.
- Colour deposit fades out completely after about 6 washes.
Moda stylist tipApply to towel-dried hair, not wet — water dilutes the pigment and causes uneven results. Work from mid-lengths to ends first, then roots last, as roots are more resistant and need less time.

Ask ModaHow long should I leave RICA Cromearth Earth Moon Mask on for the best result?
It depends on how much tone correction you need. Five minutes gives a subtle shift; 10–15 minutes gives a more noticeable cool result. We recommend starting at 10 minutes on your first use to see how your hair responds, then adjusting from there based on porosity and current level.
Can I use Earth Moon Mask every wash, or is it for occasional use only?
Yes, you can use it regularly — but 1–2 times per week is enough for most clients. Daily use can build up more tone than intended, especially on very porous or bleached hair. Pair with the Earth Moon Shampoo for lower-level maintenance on in-between wash days.
My white hair has turned yellow from hard water. Will Earth Moon Mask actually make a visible difference?
Yes — this is one of the strongest use cases for Earth Moon. White and silver hair is highly porous and picks up mineral deposits and environmental tones easily. The concentrated violet pigment counteracts that yellowing effectively. Give it 12–15 minutes for maximum correction on your first use.
I already use a purple shampoo. Do I need the Earth Moon Mask as well?
It depends on how much brassiness you're dealing with. If your purple shampoo is keeping up, you may not need the mask every week. But if you're still seeing yellow between appointments, the mask delivers more correction — the pigment sits on the hair longer and goes further than a rinse-off shampoo can.
Will RICA Cromearth Earth Moon Mask stain my shower or towels?
It can — the pigment is highly concentrated. We recommend using a dark towel and rinsing your shower immediately after. Wearing gloves during application is also a good idea, especially if you have lighter skin. The mask rinses cleanly from hair when done correctly.
