Both is better, but the conditioner does more toning work than the shampoo. If you were choosing just one, the conditioner wins on pigment concentration and conditioning benefit. That said, the system is designed to work together — the wash cleanses and adds an initial toning layer, the conditioner builds on that and adds moisture. Using both gives you tone correction and conditioning in every wash.

Not when applied correctly. Keep it off the root and apply mid-lengths to ends only — fine hair flattens when conditioner reaches the scalp, not because of the formula. The Mango Seed Butter is a lighter lipid than most conditioning butters, so the formula is less occlusive than it looks. If you find it heavy, reduce the amount rather than avoiding the product entirely.

Yes, completely normal — and it is the reason the product actually tones. The violet pigment concentration is high, which is why it works where lighter-tinted conditioners do not. Rinse the shower immediately after washing out the product. For hands, rinse before touching anything — the colour washes off skin easily with soap. If you have gel or acrylic nails, wear gloves during application.
