Ask ModaMy hair is already quite platinum — will this make it go white or purple?
No — not if you watch your timing. Fabuloso deposits cool pigment, but two to three minutes on well-maintained platinum hair gives a refreshed, glossy result rather than an overtone. Start at two minutes and adjust from there.
I already use a purple shampoo. Is Fabuloso actually different?
Yes. Purple shampoo deposits pigment during your cleanse — which is rinsed away quickly and often unevenly. Fabuloso conditions while it tones, sitting on the hair longer with a more controlled, even deposit. Most clients find the result lasts noticeably longer and looks glossier.
Can I use this every wash, or just once a week?
Yes, you can use it every wash. Many clients use it every second wash and supplement with the Toning Mist on off days. How often you use it depends on how fast your tone fades and how intense you want the result — both are completely personal.
My hair is highlighted, not fully bleached. Will Fabuloso work on highlights only, or will it affect my natural hair too?
The pigment primarily deposits on lifted, porous hair — so your highlights will grab tone and your natural, unbleached sections will take very little. The effect concentrates where the lightening is, which is exactly what you want for highlight maintenance.
The 220 ml is $41 and the 30 ml is $11. Which should I buy first?
Start with the 30 ml if you have never used a colour-depositing conditioner before. It gives you two to three uses to test your timing before committing to the full size. If you know you love toning conditioners, the 220 ml is significantly better value per wash.
