The Moda Team Review

The Hydrate system is Pureology's foundational moisture line and the right starting point for most colour-treated clients whose hair is dry. If a client comes in with dull, dry, or thirsty hair and a history of colour services, the Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner is almost always where we start the conversation. The ZeroSulfate® formula cleanses gently without stripping natural oils, while Jojoba, Green Tea, and Sage deliver moisture and antioxidant protection with every wash. The Antifade Complex® protects colour from UV, hard water, and oxidative damage throughout.

The 1000 ml Pro Duo is the same formula as the 266 ml sizes. For clients who have confirmed the Hydrate system is working — softer hair, improved shine, better manageability wash after wash — the 1000 ml gives them roughly 60–70 washes per bottle at approximately 30% better cost per wash than the retail size. The aromatherapy blend is Lavender, Bergamot, and Patchouli — warm and grounding, lingers through the blowout.

Colour-treated hair is more porous than unprocessed hair — it loses moisture faster and responds strongly to consistent, layered moisture care. Using both steps every wash is where the cumulative improvement comes from.

Moda Pro Tip

Rinse the conditioner with the coolest water tolerable — this is the step most clients skip and the one that makes the biggest visible difference in shine. Cool water closes the cuticle and locks in the moisture the conditioner just delivered. The shampoo and conditioner do the work; the cool rinse is what makes it visible.

How To Use

1. Shampoo: Apply to wet hair, lather, rinse. Repeat if needed.
2. Conditioner: Apply to wet hair from mid-lengths to ends. Leave 2–3 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
