A fortifying daily conditioner for blonde, highlighted and grey hair β strengthens with Biacidic Bond Complex, balances tone with Jagua Blue Extract, and conditions with Baobab and Babassu Seed Oil for +67% easier detangling. Silicone-free. 89.7% naturally derived. Vegan.
The Moda Team Review
The HOG Rich Conditioner is the step we point every blonde client to after the Chelating Shampoo. It is not just doing the softening and detangling job that conditioner is supposed to do β it's also delivering the Biacidic Bond Complex, Davines' patented bond-repair molecule system, and continuing the Jagua Blue tonal work that started in the shampoo. The result is blonde that looks brighter, feels stronger, and detangles with noticeably less friction wash after wash.
The formula is silicone-free and 89.7% naturally derived, which matters particularly for blondes: silicones build up quickly on lightened hair and create the flat, weighed-down texture that makes blonde look dull and disconnected. Without silicones, the Baobab Extract and Babassu Seed Oil do the softening work cleanly, leaving hair that moves naturally and catches light the way good blonde should.
Why Moda Carries This
We use this at the Moda backbar after every blonde service β it is not a product we stock without using. We chose Davines because their commitment to sustainability aligned with our values as parents, and because the Biacidic Bond Complex delivers actual structural results we can see on clients over time. A conditioner that repairs the fibre rather than just coating it is meaningfully different, and our clients notice.
Key Active Ingredients
-
Biacidic Bond Complex (Maleic Acid + Thioctamidoethyl Dimethylamine Maleate): Davines' patented bond-repair system. Targets disrupted disulfide bonds caused by bleaching and oxidative colour, sealing the cuticle and rebuilding internal fibre strength from within.
-
Jagua Blue Extract (Genipa Americana, Colombia): Natural indigo from the Jagua fruit. Balances warm undertones across cool and warm blonde shades without chromatic overload or over-toning risk.
-
Hydrolyzed Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Seed Extract: Film-forming botanical extract that smooths the cuticle and adds softness β responsible for the +67% easier detangling result (instrumental test).
-
Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil: Lightweight penetrating oil that nourishes without coating. Adds luminosity and softness without build-up. Contains Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) β consider total daily intake before use if using other Vitamin A products.
Moda Pro Tip
Apply to towel-dried hair β not wet hair β so the product concentration stays where it needs to be rather than diluting immediately on contact. Leave on for the full 5 minutes. The Biacidic Bond Complex needs contact time to work; rushing the rinse is the most common reason clients don't feel the full result. No silicones means no build-up β this conditioner can be used every wash without accumulation concerns.
Not the Right Fit If...
Not the best standalone post-shampoo step for very fine hair that goes flat or heavy with any conditioner. Fine blonde hair is often better served by the HOG Instant Bonding Glow as the primary post-shampoo step β it delivers bond repair and luminosity with less conditioning weight. The Rich Conditioner can then be used as a secondary step on the same wash when the hair specifically needs more moisture.
How To Use
- After washing with HOG Silkening Chelating Shampoo, remove excess water from the hair.
- Apply to towel-dried lengths and ends. Do not apply to roots.
- Leave on for 5 minutes. Comb through.
- Rinse thoroughly. Dry and style as desired.
- On days when hair needs deeper repair, use HOG Intense Treatment before the conditioner, or in place of it.
