If you have made the move to a Davines 1000ml litre bottle, the pump is not optional — it is the part that makes the whole format work properly. Without it, you are tipping a heavy litre bottle every time you wash your hair, which means inconsistent amounts, mess at the shower, and a product that eventually falls and breaks. The pump solves all of that. One press, right amount, every time.
These pumps are reusable and built to last the life of the bottle — and beyond. When the bottle is empty, you rinse the pump and move it to the next one. They are also the part of the litre format clients most frequently forget to add at checkout, which is why we sell them separately at Moda.
One important note: the pump must be unlocked before you insert it into the bottle. This trips up a lot of clients on first use. See the How To Use section below — read it before you open the pump.

⚠️ How To Unlock the Pump — Read This First
The pump ships locked. If you insert it before unlocking it, the locking ring can fall inside the bottle and be very difficult to retrieve. Follow these steps in order:

Remove the cap from your shampoo or conditioner bottle and set it aside.

Before inserting the pump into the bottle, hold the base of the pump firmly in one hand and twist the nozzle head counterclockwise. It will pop up and lock in the open (dispensing) position. Do this while the pump is still outside the bottle.

Once the pump is unlocked (nozzle raised), insert the pump into the bottle opening and press down firmly until it seats securely. It should screw or press into the bottle neck.

Test with one press — it may take 3–5 initial pumps to prime the tube before product flows.

To lock for travel or storage: hold the base and twist the nozzle clockwise back down into the locked position before laying flat or packing.

Moda Pro Tip
When your litre bottle is getting low and the pump tube can no longer reach the product, add a small amount of warm water to the bottle, give it a gentle swirl, and pump out the last of the diluted product as a body wash or use it to hand wash a delicate. Nothing goes to waste.
How To Use
- Unlock the pump nozzle by twisting counterclockwise before inserting into the bottle (see instructions above).
- Insert the pump into the bottle and press firmly to seat.
- Prime with 3–5 pumps before first use.
- One full press delivers one application — adjust based on your hair length and density.
- To reuse: when the bottle is empty, remove the pump, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry before transferring to the next bottle.
- To lock for storage or travel: twist the nozzle clockwise back into the down position.
