The Moda Team Review: The OI Routine at Professional Scale

For clients who have committed to the OI routine and wash their hair three or more times per week, the 1L Pro Duo is the version that makes the most financial sense. The formula is identical to the retail sizes — same Roucou Oil concentration, same performance, same result — and the cost per wash drops significantly compared to restocking smaller bottles repeatedly. One pump of each product is the correct amount for most hair types, and the optional pump dispensers make over-pouring impossible and dosing effortless.

The Roucou Oil deposit builds cumulatively with every wash — clients using OI consistently at this volume consistently report a significant shift in baseline hair quality over four to six weeks that goes well beyond what they experienced in the first few washes. The 1L format is how that cumulative result gets maintained without interruption.

What's Included

  • Davines OI Shampoo (1000ml) — Sulfate-free Roucou Oil shampoo for all hair types. Gently cleanses while depositing the first layer of Roucou Oil softness and antioxidant protection. Vegan.
  • Davines OI Conditioner (1000ml) — Roucou Oil conditioner for softness, shine and frizz control. Leave 3–5 minutes, rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle and lock the Roucou Oil in for maximum shine. Vegan.

How To Use

  1. Apply OI Shampoo to scalp and roots — massage gently and allow lather to rinse through lengths.
  2. Rinse completely then apply OI Conditioner from mid-lengths to ends.
  3. Leave conditioner for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle.
  5. Follow with OI All In One Milk or OI Oil on towel-dried hair for the complete routine.

Moda Pro Tip

Always add the pump dispensers — at 1000ml, even small variations in pouring add up to significant product waste over a month of use. One pump of shampoo and one pump of conditioner is the correct dose for most hair types. The pumps pay for themselves within the first few weeks.

Yes — identical formula, professional size. The 1000ml is the same Roucou Oil concentration we use at the Moda backbar. The only difference is packaging and cost per wash, which is significantly better in the litre format.
At standard amounts per wash, each litre gives approximately 50–65 washes. For someone washing three times a week, that is four to five months per bottle.
The 1L bottles have a standard screw cap — no pump included. Standard 28mm bottle pumps fit most professional-size Davines bottles and make dispensing much easier.
Yes — the Pro Duo is priced at a meaningful saving per wash versus the retail sizes. The more frequently you wash, the faster the saving compounds. For families sharing products, it is the most efficient way to run the OI system.
Yes — the Pro Duo covers wash and condition. OI All In One Milk as a leave-in before blowdrying and OI Oil as a finishing step complete the four-step routine. Both are available individually on the Moda site.
