Ask ModaHow do I apply RICA Beard Oil correctly?
Warm three to five drops in your palms, press the palms together briefly, then work through the beard from underneath — not from the top down. Applying from underneath coats each hair from the root and lifts the beard rather than flattening it. Finish with a smooth pass over the surface.
Can I use RICA Beard Oil on my hair as well as my beard?
It is formulated specifically for beard care. For hair, the RICA Opuntia Oil Treatment is the appropriate oil product — it is designed for scalp and length use. The Beard Oil is formulated for facial hair and the skin beneath it.
How often should I use RICA Beard Oil?
Daily use after showering is the recommendation. Beard hair dehydrates quickly, especially in dry or cold climates. Daily application keeps the beard conditioned and the skin underneath healthy.
Will RICA Beard Oil make my beard look greasy?
Not if used in the right amount. Three drops for a short beard, five for a fuller beard. The prickly pear oil base is lightweight and absorbs rather than coating. The key is using less than you think — too much on a sparse beard will look oily; the right amount gives a healthy, natural sheen.
Does RICA Beard Oil help with beard itch?
Yes — beard itch is largely caused by dry skin underneath the beard. The Opuntia oil and vegetable oil blend in the Beard Oil nourishes the skin beneath the beard alongside the hair itself. Daily use reduces the dryness and irritation that causes the itch, particularly in the early stages of beard growth.
