Ask ModaHow do I use RICA Plumping Powder without getting a white cast?
Two to three taps onto root sections only, then massage through immediately with fingertip pressure before the powder settles visibly. The massage distributes and blends the powder into the hair shaft. More than a few taps without immediately massaging creates a white cast on dark hair.
Can RICA Plumping Powder be used on clean hair?
Yes — unlike dry shampoo which needs some oil to bind to, Plumping Powder works on clean dry hair. Apply after your blowout when you want instant root volume and grip without any additional blow-drying.
Can I use RICA Plumping Powder alongside a styling paste or clay?
Yes — apply Plumping Powder at the root first for lift and grip, then use Grooming Clay or Shape Matt Putty through the lengths and ends for texture and hold. The powder at the root creates the foundation; the styling product above defines the look.
Does RICA Plumping Powder wash out easily?
Yes — it washes out with your regular shampoo. As with any powder product used regularly, thorough cleansing on wash days prevents any accumulation at the scalp over time.
How is RICA Plumping Powder different from RICA Volume Spray?
Volume Spray is applied to damp hair before blow-drying to build body during the drying process. Plumping Powder is applied to completely dry hair after styling for instant root volume and matte grip with no blow-dryer needed. Spray is a prep product; powder is an instant fix.
