Red is notorious for fading fast, and Red Lava is built to put intensity back into red, deep red, and auburn hair. It's the deeper-toned counterpart to Red Ocher — better suited to rich red and auburn bases rather than copper blonde or strawberry highlights.
Like the rest of the Cromearth range, this is a semi-permanent treatment that fades out completely after about 6 washes. Rica suggests one application per week with a 10 to 20 minute processing time.

Moda Pro Tip
Wear gloves and apply with a brush, distributing evenly and combing through to the ends so the deposit is consistent. Leave on for 10 to 20 minutes depending on the depth of red you want, then emulsify and rinse thoroughly with cool water to help seal the cuticle.
Not the Right Fit If...
If your red is lighter — copper blonde, strawberry blonde, or vivid copper highlights — the RICA Cromearth Red Ocher Mask is better matched to that lighter base. If you want to neutralise or soften red reflects rather than intensify them, the RICA Cromearth Volcanic Ash Mask is the right tool instead.
