Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
If your hair is doing this — your hair feels dry, rough or sun-exposed, and your usual routine is not giving it enough comfort — SU Hair Mask is the Davines step I would talk through with you. It gives a softer, replenished feel after sun exposure while keeping the finish hydrated, fresh and summer-ready.

The client who comes in every September and says their hair always looks terrible by the end of summer — dull, rough, and hard to manage. They’ve been using their regular conditioner but it’s not enough against accumulated UV, salt, and chlorine damage. The SU Hair Mask used weekly through July and August changes what September looks like. Davines is the only professional haircare brand Moda carries — behind the chair, at the sink, and across every retail recommendation. The Bitter Orange Extract in the SU Hair Mask is Regenerative Organic Certified™, sourced from a named farm in Sicily as part of Davines’ regenerative agriculture commitment.

How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Use SU Hair Mask when your hair is showing the concern this product was made for. Apply after cleansing, focus on the areas that need the most help, and give it the full processing time instead of rushing it out after thirty seconds.
Moda stylist tipApply generously from mid-lengths to ends on wet hair immediately after rinsing the SU Hair & Body Wash — while the hair is still warm and the cuticle is open from the shower heat. This is when conditioning actives penetrate deepest. Comb through while the mask is in to detangle and ensure even distribution. Rinse with cool water to close the cuticle and lock in the softness.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaHow often should I use the Davines SU Hair Mask — every time I wash my hair, or only after beach and pool days?
Yes, use it after every sun-exposed day during summer for the best seasonal result. If you’re at the beach or pool daily, use it daily. If sun exposure is occasional, use it every second or third wash. Through winter, once a week is plenty as a general conditioning treatment.
I already use the Davines OI Conditioner regularly. Do I need both the OI Conditioner and the SU Hair Mask through summer, or does one replace the other?
Yes, they serve different purposes and both can be used. The OI Conditioner delivers shine and softness through Roucou Oil but is not formulated for sun damage specifically. On days after sun exposure, replace the OI Conditioner with the SU Hair Mask. On non-sun-exposed wash days, use the OI Conditioner as normal.
My ends are always dry and breaking by mid-summer from lake swimming. Is the SU Hair Mask enough, or do I also need the SU Hair Milk?
Yes, the Mask is the repair step but the Milk is the protection step — they serve different phases of the same problem. The Mask repairs damage that has already happened. The Milk’s UV filters prevent the next day’s damage from happening in the first place. For consistent swimmers, using both makes a significantly bigger seasonal difference than the Mask alone.
Is the Davines SU Hair Mask vegan and animal-free?
Yes. Davines confirms the SU Hair Mask does not contain any ingredients of animal origin.
How long do I need to leave the Davines SU Hair Mask on? I am usually rushing through my shower after a beach day.
Yes, five minutes is the minimum and it is sufficient for a meaningful result. Apply it while you finish washing your body and it has done its job by the time you rinse. Ten minutes is better for heavily sun-damaged or very dry hair. Rinsing it after thirty seconds negates most of the conditioning benefit.
