Yes, it works year-round as a shampoo, but it is formulated and positioned for post-sun use. Through summer, use it on every sun-exposed day in place of your regular shampoo. Off-season it works well as a gentle cleanse with an antioxidant bonus.
Does the Davines SU Hair & Body Wash remove sunscreen properly from the scalp, or does SPF build up over time?
Yes, it is designed to remove SPF and sunscreen residue from both hair and skin. Double-shampoo after a heavy SPF day — especially on the scalp where SPF can sit in the follicle opening and compromise next-day scalp health if not fully removed.
I swim in a chlorinated pool three times a week. Is the SU Hair & Body Wash enough, or do I need a separate clarifying shampoo?
Yes, the SU Hair & Body Wash handles regular post-swim chlorine removal effectively. For very heavy chlorine accumulation, a monthly clarifying shampoo can supplement. But for consistent weekly swim use, the SU wash handles the load — use it every post-swim session.
My hair is colour-treated and I spend a lot of time outdoors in summer. Should I use the SU Hair & Body Wash or stick with my colour-safe shampoo?
Yes, the SU Hair & Body Wash is gentle on colour and does not contain harsh sulphates that strip colour molecules. For colour-treated clients outdoors, the more important protection is the SU Hair Milk’s UV filters — UV exposure fades colour far more aggressively than this shampoo.
Is the SU Hair & Body Wash enough on its own, or do I need to use it with the SU Hair Mask and Hair Milk to see a real difference?
Yes, it makes a real difference on its own by removing the surface damage before it can compound. But the full system — Wash, Mask, Milk — produces significantly better seasonal results. The Wash cleans; the Mask repairs what was already damaged; the Milk prevents the next day’s damage. Each step does something the others don’t.
