Dry or sensitive beard skin may do better with every other day. No. 501 is formulated for regular use — its moisturising and clarifying formula is gentle enough for frequent washing.
Yes — the clarifying component of No. 501 is specifically designed to address excess oil in the beard. The dual moisturising and clarifying action cleans the beard thoroughly while conditioning the skin underneath, which prevents the cycle of over-stripping and compensatory oil production that worsens oiliness when the wrong cleanser is used.
No — the daily wash removes the previous application of beard oil, which is appropriate. Beard oil should be applied fresh after each wash for maximum benefit. Apply No. 505 Conditioning Beard Oil or No. 202 Leave-In to a freshly washed beard for the best conditioning result. The wash removes old product; the oil step replaces it fresh.
