Rica Mothia is a 160g scented candle inspired by one of Sicily’s most extraordinary places — the ancient Phoenician island of Mothia, set in the salt lagoons of the Stagnone near Marsala. The landscape is defined by its relationship with water and salt: glittering lagoons, historic windmills, and the constant warmth of western Sicilian sun. This candle translates that into an oriental marine fragrance that opens with fresh oceanic notes and settles into warm, deep, spiced depth.

Typically 30-40 hours for a 160g candle with proper wick maintenance. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn, allow the wax to pool fully on first burn, and keep out of draughts to maximise burn time.
Mothia (or Mozia) is an ancient Phoenician island in the Stagnone lagoon on the western coast of Sicily, near Marsala. It's one of the most historically significant and visually extraordinary places in Sicily — a tiny island in glittering salt flats, surrounded by historic windmills. The candle's fragrance captures that very specific atmosphere.
The Taormina (sweet citrus) is the more accessible and universally loved gift for those who don't have strong candle preferences. Mothia is better suited to someone who knows and enjoys fragrance — its complexity is the point.
Open living areas where the fragrance has room to develop — the marine freshness opens first, then the spice and amber emerge as the room warms. The complexity benefits from space; a smaller room may emphasise only the top notes.
