The Wizard is a multi-tasker: detangles, smooths, and heat-protects in one lighter spray. If heat protection is your only goal at high temperatures, Blockade delivers more intensity. If you want one step that does everything, The Wizard.
Can I use Blockade with The Wizard, or do I choose one?
Yes — you can layer them. Apply The Wizard first to detangle and smooth, then a small amount of Blockade before high-heat tools for added thermal protection. On fine hair, choose one — layering heat protectants can create weight.
Does Blockade work on dry hair or only damp?
Yes — Blockade can be applied to both damp hair before blow-drying and dry hair before flat iron or curling tools. Apply before tool contact, not after.
I colour my hair and use hot tools daily. Is Blockade worth adding to my routine?
Yes — colour-treated hair is structurally more porous and damaged by heat faster than natural hair. Daily high-heat styling compounds this significantly. A concentrated heat protectant applied consistently is one of the highest-impact things you can add to a colour-maintenance routine.
How much Blockade should I apply?
Yes — a small amount is sufficient. For medium-length hair, 1–2 pumps distributed through mid-lengths and ends before heat tools. Over-applying concentrated serums is a common mistake — more product doesn't mean more protection.
