Yes — Velveteen Dream is the heavier smoothing formula designed for the full blowout frizz system with the Balm and The Shield. Forget Frizz is a lighter everyday option for clients who want frizz management but don't always blow-dry. If you blow-dry, Velveteen Dream. If you mostly air-dry, Forget Frizz.
Does Velveteen Dream Shampoo actually reduce frizz from the cleansing step?
Yes — the smoothing actives start reducing cuticle porosity during cleansing. The cleanse step alone doesn't eliminate frizz, but it creates the foundation the conditioner and balm build on. The shampoo without the rest of the system delivers partial results; the full system delivers the most.
Do I need to leave Velveteen Dream Shampoo on, or rinse immediately?
Yes — leave 1–2 minutes before rinsing. The smoothing actives need contact time to work during the cleanse step. Most clients rinse immediately and miss a meaningful portion of the shampoo's frizz-control benefit.
Is Velveteen Dream Shampoo colour-safe?
Yes — sulphate-free and colour-safe. Colour-treated frizzy hair is one of the most common hair type combinations this system is designed for.
I have fine wavy hair that gets frizzy. Is Velveteen Dream or Forget Frizz better for me?
Yes — for fine wavy hair, Forget Frizz is often the better starting point. Velveteen Dream's heavier smoothing agents can weigh down fine hair. Try Forget Frizz first; if the result isn't strong enough, step up to Velveteen Dream with careful application.
