Ask ModaWhat is the difference between Nº.5L and Nº.6? They both seem like leave-ins.
Yes — both are leave-ins but they serve different hair types. Nº.5L is lightweight and designed for fine to medium hair — it seals split ends and provides heat protection without weight. Nº.6 is richer, heavier and designed for medium to thick or frizzy hair needing more moisture and frizz control.
Do I rinse out Nº.5L or leave it in?
No — Nº.5L is a leave-in conditioner. Apply to towel-dried hair after rinsing out your regular Nº.5 conditioner. Do not rinse out. Style as normal.
Does Nº.5L provide heat protection before blow-drying?
Yes — Nº.5L provides heat protection as part of its leave-in formula. Apply before blow-drying or heat styling for protection plus bond care at the pre-styling step.
Can I use Nº.5L and Nº.6 together, or do I choose one?
No — choose one based on your hair type. Using both would likely create too much weight and residue. Nº.5L for fine to medium hair; Nº.6 for medium to thick or frizzy hair.
I have medium hair with some frizz. Should I use Nº.5L or Nº.6?
Yes — if frizz is a significant concern, Nº.6 is likely the better choice for medium frizzy hair because it has more dedicated frizz-control actives. If the frizz is mild and weight is more of a concern than moisture, Nº.5L is the right call. Ask at your next appointment.
