Ask ModaIs Nº.3PLUS actually the same as Nº.3 in 3 minutes, or is it a weaker version?
Yes — it uses the same OLAPLEX bond-building technology as Nº.3. The formulation is optimised for a faster processing time. For mildly to moderately damaged hair, Nº.3PLUS delivers a comparable result in significantly less time.
Should I switch from Nº.3 to Nº.3PLUS, or use both?
No — use one or the other, not both. Nº.3PLUS is the right choice if you're consistent but time-constrained. Nº.3 (or Nº.0 + Nº.3) is better for heavily damaged hair when a longer processing time is available and the extra repair depth matters.
Do I apply Nº.3PLUS the same way as Nº.3 — before shampooing?
Yes — apply to towel-dried or damp hair before shampooing, leave for 3 minutes minimum, then shampoo and condition as normal. Same application logic as Nº.3, just a shorter processing window.
My hair is bleached every 6 weeks. Is Nº.3PLUS enough or do I need Nº.0 + Nº.3?
No — for hair that's being bleached on a 6-week cycle and showing significant damage, Nº.0 + Nº.3 is the stronger protocol. Nº.3PLUS is better suited to moderately processed hair or a maintenance phase once the structure has improved.
Can I leave Nº.3PLUS on longer than 3 minutes?
Yes — there is no maximum time and it will not damage the hair. If you have more time available, leaving it on longer is fine and may provide additional benefit. The 3-minute claim is the minimum processing time for results, not a maximum.
