Yes — Nº.4 FINE is specifically reformulated for fine hair without the heavier conditioning agents in standard Nº.4. It delivers the same OLAPLEX bond repair with a lighter finish that preserves volume rather than weighing roots down.
Does Nº.4 FINE have the same bond-building technology as the regular Nº.4?
Yes — identical OLAPLEX Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate technology. The bond repair is the same; what changes is the conditioning profile. Nº.4 FINE is lighter and volume-focused; Nº.4 is richer and moisture-focused.
Should I use Nº.4 FINE with regular Nº.5 conditioner, or do I need Nº.5 FINE too?
Yes — pair Nº.4 FINE with Nº.5 FINE for a fully lightweight bond-care routine. Using standard Nº.5 with Nº.4 FINE will likely negate the volume benefit of the fine shampoo. The FINE system is designed to work together.
My fine hair is colour-treated. Is Nº.4 FINE still the right choice?
Yes — Nº.4 FINE is colour-safe and appropriate for fine colour-treated hair. Fine hair that is also colour-treated often loses volume quickly because the colour process adds porosity. Nº.4 FINE repairs the structure and cleanses without the added weight.
My fine hair is also very dry and prone to frizz. Is Nº.4 FINE still right for me, or do I need more moisture?
No — if dryness is as significant a concern as volume, standard Nº.4 paired with Nº.5L leave-in may be better. Fine hair that is also very dry often needs more moisture than the FINE system delivers. Ask your stylist at your next appointment for a personalised recommendation.
