Ask ModaIs the Weightless Nourishing Mask actually as effective as Nº.8, or is it a compromise for fine hair?
No — it's not a compromise; it's the right product for the job. OLAPLEX bond repair is the same. What changes is the conditioning profile — lighter actives designed for fine hair's specific balance of nourishment and volume. Nº.8 on fine hair creates flatness, not better results.
How often should I use the Weightless Nourishing Mask?
Yes — once a week, replacing your regular Nº.5 conditioner on that wash day. For fine hair, weekly is sufficient and consistent. More frequent use is unlikely to cause damage but may reduce volume from the cumulative conditioning effect.
Do I use the Weightless Mask on the same wash as Nº.3 or Nº.3PLUS?
Yes — this is a great combination. Nº.3 or Nº.3PLUS before shampooing, then the Weightless Mask in place of Nº.5 conditioner. One wash day delivers both the pre-wash structural repair and the in-shower nourishing treatment for fine hair.
How long should I leave the Weightless Nourishing Mask on?
Yes — minimum 3–5 minutes for the standard benefit. For fine hair that is also colour-treated or significantly damaged, 10 minutes is appropriate. Unlike Nº.8 which benefits from longer time, fine hair generally doesn't need extended processing.
My hair is fine and currently I don't use any weekly mask. Would adding this make a noticeable difference?
Yes — adding a weekly bond repair and nourishment step is one of the most impactful changes fine colour-treated hair clients can make. Fine hair is often the most compromised by colour services because the fibre is thinner and has fewer bonds to begin with. Weekly repair makes a cumulative, visible difference.
