It uses actual sea salt from Sicily — not a synthetic salt approximation. It also includes the Rica Line Complex with Zeolite, Quinoa and HeatProSP for frizz control and humidity protection, so the beach texture holds through the day rather than puffing out at the first sign of moisture.
Salt naturally draws moisture from the hair, so very dry or damaged hair may find it drying with frequent use. For dry hair needing texture without the salt effect, the Curl Shaping Cream is a softer alternative. Using a good conditioner on wash day will offset the dryness if you use salt spray regularly.
Both work, with different results. On damp hair you get softer, more defined waves that build as the hair dries. On dry hair you get more immediate, visible texture and grit. Damp application gives a more polished undone look; dry application gives more obvious texture.
Yes — the salt provides grip and texture that can actually help fine hair hold a style. Keep it on the mid-lengths and ends and avoid heavy application at the root to prevent weighing the root down. A light mist rather than a saturating spray is the right amount for fine hair.
Air-drying gives the most natural beach finish. Diffusing on low is an option if you need to speed things up — keep the diffuser on low heat to avoid disturbing the texture before it has set. Either way, resist the urge to touch the hair while it dries.
