How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Shampoo and towel-dry.
- Wear gloves. Apply with a brush from mid-lengths to ends, combing through evenly.
- Leave on 10-20 minutes depending on desired warmth.
- Emulsify, then rinse thoroughly.
- Colour deposit fades out completely after about 6 washes.

Yes — that's exactly what it's designed for. Dull, flat highlights have lost their warm pigment deposit over time. Yellow Ocher replenishes that golden luminosity with natural mineral pigments. Ten minutes gives a visible refresh even on hair that hasn't had colour in months.
How is Yellow Ocher Mask different from the Earth Moon Mask? Can I use both?
They do the opposite things. Earth Moon is purple — it cools and neutralises yellow. Yellow Ocher adds warm, golden luminosity. You'd choose based on what your hair needs that week — not use both at the same time. If you alternate, let at least one wash cycle sit between them.
I'm worried Yellow Ocher will make my hair look orange. Will that happen?
Not if you use it as directed. The yellow mineral pigment reads as golden luminosity on blonde hair, not orange. The risk is leaving it on too long (beyond 15 minutes) on very light or porous bleached hair. Stick to 5–10 minutes on first use and you'll get warm brightness, not brassiness.
Can I use RICA Cromearth Yellow Ocher Mask on dark blonde or brown hair?
It's designed for light to medium blonde. On dark blonde, the yellow deposit may not show much. For honey blonde to brown hair wanting warm reflects, the RICA Cromearth Terra Cotta Mask is better matched to that base level and tone range.
How often should I use RICA Cromearth Yellow Ocher Mask to maintain my highlight colour?
Once a week is plenty for most clients. On weeks when your colour looks good, skip it or switch to the Neutral Mask for conditioning only. The goal is to maintain, not to keep adding pigment every wash — let your hair tell you when it needs a refresh.
